Million dollar shot great to watch

Talk about a dream come true.

I have been playing golf for 15 years and have never had a hole in one. I've come close a couple of times, including once on my favorite hole, the par-three No. 7 at Empire Lakes in Rancho Cucamonga.

I put a shot eight inches from the hole and tapped in for birdie. Close, but no ...

That's why seeing this shot from the Mark Eaton Celebrity Classic in Utah, in which a restaurant manager from Provo won $1 million, is so amazing.

The hole was 150 yards, just a little shorter than No. 7 at Empire Lakes, which is why it's obvious this guy is a much better golfer than I am.

You see, I use a five wood to clear nearly 150 yards of water.

He used a nine iron for his shot.

Big deal.

A guy gets a hole-in-one.

A retired British woman just shot TWO hole-in-one shots on the SAME 18 holes.

Now that's AMAZING.

Hey!! Rita!!

Don't piss on someone else's parade just because you think you know better.

Scoring an ace in golf is very, very difficult.

It's rare. very, very rare.

And while I admire the apocryphal story of the British lady scoring TWO aces in one round, and I concede that is even rarer, that's no reason to put down this hole-in-one.

Just some food for thought:

Did this lady do it in a tournament and did she win a million dollars for doing it?

Was she in a tournament with dozens if not hundreds of people watching and adding pressure?

Was it filmed (or taped) so everyone else in the world can view it on youtube or hula?

No?

Then consider just difficult this particular ace was and simply appreciate it for its wonder and beauty.

Let's not knock the next person. Let's celebrate even the small victories in life.

Life is tough enough already.

Well said, Ernie.

I think Rita might have been unnecessarily provocative, and you put things in perspective.

Maybe it's time we all started applauding the next person instead of fearing their successes and somehow diminishing those accomplishments.

Life is, indeed, hard, and maybe it's time for all of us to grow up and stop being so sarcastic and snarky.

Cut the next person some slack.

(Thanks, Ernie)

You guys beat me to it. It's a lot more difficult to do something when you know $1 million is riding on it.

Okay, guys, maybe I was a bit too snarky, BUT today a thirteen-year old GIRL scored a hole-in-one DURING a LPGA tournament.

GIRLS RULE!
